S.F.T.W. is an annual skateboarding and filming competition brought to you by Reskue.
Since its inception in 2008 it has grown to become the most anticipated event in the south coasts skateboarding calender, the level of both skateboarding and filming has improved each year to truly represent the growing strength of skateboarding in Southampton.
The freedom to skate where you want, when you want, makes it far more appealling than a skatepark based competition, and allows a true representation of each skaters individuality to come through, and this shows with the videos, with last years total views going into the tens of thousands.
No matter what age or level of ability you can enter S.F.T.W. and experience what skateboarding is about, going out and having fun with your friends.

An overwhelming response to voting this year! GOLDHOUSE won with 908 votes, more than we have had on the whole comp in previous years! A well deserved trip to Barcelona goes to them!

Something For The Weekend has got busier and busier every year, with over 20,000 views on the videos last year we have stepped up the prize accordingly: A week long trip to Barcelona with the Reskue team to film at the DC Embassy!
Join the team: Marc Churchill, Jed Cullen, Curtis Jehsta, Darren Tate, Joe Paget, Greg Nowik, Mike Halls, Tibs, Greg Thorpe and Josh Clark while we film a part for the DC Embassy website.

The same rules as always apply, but here they are for you:
* Teams of four MAXIMUM * One main named filmer/editor, but the whole team can help with your teams filming and editing. * Teams must be registered before midnight on Friday 5th April, and entered via posting on the EVENT WALL * You can film from midnight on Friday 5th April until midnight Sunday 7th April - two full days * Edits must be in by midnight on Sat 13th April. The log in for the SFTW Vimeo account will be given to all entries and you must upload the video yourself. * You can film anywhere in the Southampton area and surrounding boroughs. * Voting will commence Sunday 14th April and will go on for one week.
Now the prize:
* Return flights for 4 to Barcelona, entry to the DC Embassy with the Reskue team to film a video part with the team. * Accommodation and food is NOT provided. * The trip will take place in October, dates TBC * There will also be prizes from all of the sponsors: Decks, Wheels, Trucks, Tees ETC * Anything deemed unfair or looking like rigged or unfair voting will result in disqualification and the final say lies with Andy@Reskue
